Avicanna Standards of Quality

Avicanna Quality Standard

Pura Earth is Avicanna’s novel skincare line utilizing a combination of CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid along with hemp oil and other key ingredients designed to provide natural regulatory effect, nourishment and rejuvenation to the skin. Our mission at Avicanna is to abide by the following…

1

A Science First Approach

Our researchers and collaborators from world class medical and academic institutions are dedicated to a scientific and evidence-based approach to product development. Throughout the research and development process, our products are assessed for safety, efficacy and regulatory compliance. Our strict insistence on the highest standards of scientific rigor ensures that our development processes undergo quality control and quality assurance.

2

A Solution-Centric Design

With the patient always in mind, we design therapeutic solutions to address specific needs which are then analyzed in pre-clinical, observational and interventional clinical studies. To demonstrate product safety and clinical efficacy across several therapeutic areas, our scientists collaborate with clinicians from distinguished medical institutions with best-in-class clinical development programs.

3

GACP, Organic and Sustainable Cultivation

Our cannabis is sun-grown, natural and organic, meaning our cultivation practices are free of herbicides, pesticides and other harmful chemicals which means we maintain a living soil system as well the integrity of the ecosystem. By cultivating in accordance with Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP), we ensure that our processes adhere to global standards of medicinal plant cultivation appropriate for phyto-therapeutic and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

4

Quality from Start to Finish

Our products are processed and manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure world class quality in accordance with global standards and to ensure product consistency. Additionally, our quality controls and analytical testing is performed under Good laboratory practices (GLP) across all of our operations to maintain and ensure quality controls.

5

Full Traceability and Trackability

Through barcoding technology, we have implemented a seed to harvest system allowing us to monitor and trace raw material from the moment the seed is planted to when it is harvested and further refined as active ingredient or sent out for export.

This process is coupled with an international product barcoding system used on all packaging of final products offered to the public. We offer consumers and patients complete insight into the origin of their purchase and allow tracking of the exact genetic, date of harvest and confirmation of the quality and consistency of active ingredients in their purchase.

2015
Nothing but Nature

Our cannabinoids are natural, organic, free of herbicides, pesticides and harmful chemicals. We use organic and sustainable growing processes under Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to ensure we support the health of soils, ecosystems and people.

2016
Science First

Our world-class research and development team, ensures that our products are safe and free of harmful chemicals through rigorous quality controls and product testing. Our scientific approach to product development ensures all our products undergo many levels of optimization, quality control and assurance.

2017
Consistency is Key

Our products are manufactured to the highest standards for consistent strength, quality and purity every time. We use compliant Good Manufacturing Standards (cGMP) to assure precise delivery of cannabinoids in every product.

2018
Safety from Start to Fin

Our products undergo safety testing throughout the development process. We do safety and toxicology testing as we develop our products from the initial stages all the way to the final products, using both in vitro and in vivo studies.
